She has spent the last fifteen years working with leading firms on designs ranging from residential gardens to multimillion-dollar landscaping projects for commercial and resort developments in the US, Canada, China, Qatar, and the UAE. Her commitment to designing outdoor spaces that harmonize with their surroundings and with the natural environment has led her to start her own firm, Kim Rooney Landscape Architecture, which specializes in custom residential gardens, comprehensive master planning for private residences, children's gardens, meditations spaces, and art gardens. |

Kim is a graduate of Clemson University's landscape architecture program. Her first design, which she began at age seven, is a woodland garden of secluded paths and native plantings. It still flourishes in her parents' backyard. |
