Description:
The soft cheese known as Catupiry is a Brazilian creation. It was invented in 1911 by a couple of Italian immigrants, Mario and Isaira Silvestrini, during a stay at the hydro-mineral spa of Lambari in Minas Gerais State (MG). Catupiry became an immediate favorite due to its light consistency and distinct flavor.
