A-PLUS was started in 1988 by Wynn Eldred while attending Oregon State University. While attaining his Engineering degree in Construction Engineering Management, Wynn realized that people really need help with the choices and options available to them in the world of construction. A-Plus has been helping people with hard decisions. Life is an investment and making the right choices can be overwhelming.
Our company has a broad background of General Contracting, starting in the painting and coatings industry. We have taken on large jobs in both commercial and residential. Some of our clients list Caterpillar, Weyerhaeuser, Hampton Lumber, Fabrene, Sterling Business Forms, Trappist Monks of Guadalupe, Farmers CO-OP, Department of Veterans affairs, Oregon National Guard, Eldred Realty, RE/MAX, Coldwell Banker, with work stretching to most counties in Oregon. We became very well know in the waterproofing world with The Insulated Coating Company (ICC) and IB Roof Systems. We still specialize in Commercial roofing using only the most high tech products available carrying lifetime warranties for our clients.
Our company has been involved with Designing and Building commercial structures. The Most well know is the RE/MAX Building formerly know as the Eldred Building. Built in 1995, The building is located in Salem, Oregon at the Market Street Exit. This building is a well know landmark along the I-5 Corridor between Portland and Eugene. This 20,000 SQ FT, 3-story w/ basement building was an exciting project for Wynn and his engineering degree. The Building was built using the fast-track construction techniques. The building was started and completed on time in 9 months. A-PLUS employed at the peek of this project over 70 employees.. This building has stood the test of time. We are very proud of that.
Over the last 12 years we have put are waterproofing skills to work with Siding & Windows. Anyone can put a window in or siding on, but unfortunately many do not understand the importance of flashing a window, and confirming the waterproofing system. Same with siding most contractors do not actually know the difference between curtain system and a barrier system. The most important part of the siding system is the vapor barrier and its application, however most home owners never see this part of the siding job until it is too late, the warranty is over and the damage is done. The siding and windows are the most overlooked phases of construction and can cause the most damage. Even worse the range of pricing has nothing to do with the quality of the installation. During installation Vinyl Windows in Salem, OR uses the manufacturers Technical data instructions as a minimum and in most cases far exceeds them.

2. A-PLUS has been licensed with the CCB and Oregon Health Department as a lead abatement contractor for over 9 years. If the Company installing your windows is not licensed to work with lead based paint, you may be the one who pays for environmental and health hazards.
