Dry Gulch Ranch is a one-of-a-kind filming location located in the hills of Malibu. Whether you are looking for a Western theme, or a beach scene, we have just the facility for you. Dry Gulch Ranch is located in a box canyon on a dead end road with ocean and mountain views. It is very quiet, with ideal weather, ample parking, room for dressing and make-up, and water and electricity provided.

Dry Gulch Ranch has been used as a filming location for television commercials, photo shoots, documentaries, movies, and more for over two decades. Supermodels, famous actors, and musicians have been previous customers. Over five hundred movies have been filmed here and still photos have been shot for magazines, including Playboy, Vogue, and clothing catalogs for many famous names.

The Ranch House filming location offers a wide diversification of views, buildings, scenes, trees, mountains, ocean background, and facilities ready for almost any film or photo shoot. The Ranch House is two stories with a stone fireplace, wood floors, and a beamed ceiling. The Bunkhouse has a Franklin wood burning stove and an old style kitchen with an antique, working red natural gas stove. Everything is wood. It’s ideal for any western themed scene and has many props including old cars, furniture, and more. All furnishings fit the late 1800s and early 1900s. The Saloon, cavalry tent, jail, water tower, and outdoor shower area are the most popular filming locations and photo shoot areas.

The Lodge has everything a high end retreat would have, including a large round pool and deck, a huge spa with a bronze fountain, a garden patio with an outdoor bar and tabled sitting areas, a courtyard with hot tub, campfire, outdoor bar, and more tabled sitting areas. Inside, the lodge includes a nightclub with fireplace, marble topped bar, wood floor, and brass dance pole. Other buildings in The Lodge area include a tractor barn, an art studio, and machine shop.

The Surfer Beach filming location includes a lawn, tennis court, tiki bar and lounge, along with a tropical spa area. In the sand area is a surfer hut which includes all the amenities such as showers, lockers, a changing area, and outdoor furniture placed in the sand under palm trees. Landscaping is ideal for any tropical southern California filming location, with beach access just three miles away.
