We have a solution to summertime boredom and it is the Platypus Pottery School. Camp owner and director, Donald Thieberger, aka Mr. Nose, has over 47 years of experience in the pottery and teaching industry. The goal of our pottery summer camp in Livingston, NJ is to provide kids with the best summer of their lives!
This pottery summer camp is a one-of-a-kind experience for children and parents. Your children will learn the craft of making pottery on a potter's wheel, hand-building, and our unique Sculpey projects. Platypus is a weekly pottery summer camp offered to the general public at a very reasonable price. Mr. Nose teaches each class personally, and has assistance from several skilled pottery summer camp counselors. Each child will be able to showcase their creations and will take home up to 20 newly created sculptures and pieces of pottery.
Another fun part of our pottery summer camp is our outdoor activities including hiking to a fossil site, an adventurous balloon toss, and the infamous slip and slide mud role. Our pottery summer camp is filled with exciting activities that will surely entertain your children and we teach in a fun-loving environment that will surely meet all types of personalities.
